The gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece were powerful and often meddled in the affairs of mortals. Zeus, the king of the gods, was the most powerful of them all. He was the god of the sky, thunder, and lightning. Other gods and goddesses included Poseidon, the god of the sea; Hades, the god of the underworld; and Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.

The heroes of Ancient Greek myths were brave and courageous warriors who often faced off against monsters and other creatures. The most famous of these heroes was the demigod Hercules, who was known for his strength and courage. Other heroes included Perseus, who slew the monstrous Medusa; Theseus, who killed the Minotaur; and Odysseus, who sailed the seas for 10 years in search of his home.

The monsters of Ancient Greek myths were often terrifying creatures that were sent by the gods to test the courage of mortals. The most famous of these monsters was the Minotaur, a half-man, half-bull creature that lived in a labyrinth. Other monsters included the Chimera, a fire-breathing creature with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a serpent; and the Cyclops, a giant with a single eye in the middle of its forehead.
